My stupid insurance won't pay for jackshit! My ADHD medicine? $270. The cream my dermatologist perscribed for my acne? $390! I can't afford that shit! If I'm paying for medical insurance I shouldn't have to be paying $390 for a tube of cream! I hope you guys up in canada have room for one more!

Deductibles man. I'm actually glad I have so many medical problems, I hit those deductibles pretty quick and get my money's worth out of my insurance payments

Canadian Medicare covers very few, if any, prescription costs.

is Canada or Mexico closer to you? My godparents are both M.D. One time we went to a medicine facility near Guadalajara. Holy high tech marvels batman! Super state of the art facility. Meds are just sooo much cheaper and not second rate quality at all.
Fucked up that if you go to prison, i'm sure they'll cover the meds.

medicare doesn't but work benefits do. Any prescription is $6 for me. All I need to pay for is the "dispensing fee".

Just be glad you don't live in Liberia where acne and hyperactivity might be the only thing that keeps you from getting Ebola.

Come on over. We have room for any Opponauts that want to come.
If you have benefits thru your work your prescriptions will cost you $6 bucks each. you only pay for processing.

Expensive ADHD meds are nothing new, but 390 dollars for acne cream is really odd. I don't want to be nosy, but specifically what drug is in the cream?

Yeah, that's the same as in Yankeestan. Moving to Canada won't help him.

At least we don't have to pay to see a doctor if we are unemployed.

Hrmm. Ours is a 5 dollar co-pay for anything on the approved list. It's a 20 dollar co-pay if it's not on the approved list, but nothing on the approved list is 'equivalent'. It's full price if there is an equivalent on the approved list but you choose to use the non-approved equivalent. We have the option of a prescription rider that ups the premium but allows you to get anything for a 5 dollar co-pay.
Check and see if your insurance has a similar rider (it'll be called something like prescription drugs benefits). Also, directly contact the manufacturers of the drugs, they usually have programs you can get on with them.
Oh, and also, most insurance doesn't cover acne medication because it's considered cosmetic. I've heard some do, but none I've ever had.

I feel ya man. I pay $65 a week for insurance through my job, I never fucking use it because I still don't have the extra money for copays, yet when I need a procedure done they tell me it's gonna be over $2k. Like yeah, no. Then they tell me that to avoid out of pocket costs on that I could upgrade my plan for an additional $30 a month, so I'd essentially be paying that $2k anyway. It's a huge joke.

Neither do many Americans; their Medicare/Medicaid system is HUGE.
Oh, you think welfare is your ally, but you merely adopted welfare. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see a world without välfärd until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but barbaric! The payments betray you, because they belong to me. I will show you where I have made my home, whilst preparing to bring economic justice. Then, I will break you. Your precious treasury notes, desperately sold. You will need it. Ah yes, I was wondering what would break first. Your debt, or your soul.

That stuff can suck. I basically got socked for $400 for an IV on a visit that didn't actually solve anything.

Try $264 dollars to use a $85 dollar nebulizer. Or $250 to receive an injection by someone who makes $12/hr, not including the cost of the needle or vaccine.

True, but the Canadian government controls the price of medications. This is why there's reimporting of drugs from Canada to the US.
